In 1994 Toronto, ancient vampire Boya awakens after a golf ball jolts his 25‑year slumber in a basement. He retrieves his belongings from a cemetery, checks into a low‑budget hotel beside an all‑night donut shop, and survives on rats and pigeons. While frequenting the shop he befriends taxi driver Earl, protects him from two thugs, and falls for waitress Molly, even as his former lover Rita searches for him.
