Following his death from stomach cancer, a group of eccentric acquaintances—including fellow gamblers, pachinko employees, and former drinking companions—gather at the funeral of a man who left his wife and sons thirteen years prior. Through their recollections, his sons begin to understand the complexities of their father's life and the reasons behind his sudden departure, challenging their long-held resentment. Stories shared at the funeral paint a more nuanced portrait of a flawed but ultimately human individual.
