Abdullah, an Arab boy, cherishes his donkey Bim. Prince Massoud, jealous, steals Bim, paints him and tries to cut his ears. Abdullah is captured and imprisoned while trying to rescue the animal. Moved by Abdullah’s devotion, Massoud frees them both. After Bim is taken to a butcher and then stolen by robbers, the boys and friends mount a final rescue.
