Siddharth and Avni return from the United States to a palace that should be a haven, but family tensions surface and old wounds resurface. Their marriage breaks Radha’s heart, as she remains Badri's adopted daughter and Siddharth's childhood friend. The reunion mixes romance with looming superstition.

Avni becomes fascinated by the legend of Manjulika and begins researching the dancer's fate. She questions the palace's stories and digs into the history, drawn by the idea that a centuries-old grievance could affect the present. Her curiosity plants the seeds for trouble to come.

Decades ago, Maharaja Vibhuti Narayan was infatuated with Manjulika, who loved Shashidhar. In a fit of rage, the king publicly beheaded Shashidhar and imprisoned Manjulika to force marriage. The king then dies mysteriously, and powerful sorcerers seal Manjulika's spirit on the palace's third floor.

Avni receives a duplicate key from Nandini and opens the third-floor door, breaking the long-standing confinement of Manjulika. Cold drafts and eerie noises ripple through the corridor as the seal weakens. Unseen presences begin to make their presence felt in the house.

Unnatural phenomena begin to plague the palace: objects move, lights flicker, and the apparition of a mysterious woman frightens the family. Radha becomes the suspect, as she seems to appear near every incident. Fear, jealousy, and superstition spread through the household.

Siddharth, worried that Radha’s distress is more than heartbreak, brings psychiatrist Aditya Shrivastava into the house. Aditya's unconventional methods divide the family, with some seeing insight and others skepticism. The investigation shifts from superstition to clinical inquiry.

Aditya’s methods unsettle the household, and a planned poisoning attempt on Siddharth is foiled by his quick intervention. His techniques feel unorthodox but effective, earning cautious trust from some family members. The fragile balance between science and superstition is tested.

One night, Aditya hears the sound of a ghungroo and a Bengali song echoing from Manjulika's room. Posing as King Vibhuti Narayan, he converses with Manjulika, who vows revenge on the next Durgashtami. The exchange reveals a direct link between Avni's plight and the palace legend.

Aditya explains that Avni's condition is dissociative identity disorder, with identities that misinterpret the same history. Avni identifies Siddharth with the evil King and believes Sharad is Shashidhar, showing how memory fractures shape perception. To uncover truth, Aditya travels to Avni's hometown to gather clues.

Badri brings renowned exorcist Yagyaprakash Bharti to help, and Aditya reveals that he was Bharti's disciple long ago. Their combined expertise—psychiatry and exorcism—gives the family a renewed sense of hope. They prepare for a confrontation with Manjulika's spirit.

Aditya explains that DID is lifelong, but Manjulika’s purpose can be fulfilled to release Avni from her hold. The plan is to let her complete the vengeance by killing the ‘King,’ thereby ending the spirit’s fixation. Everyone agrees to stage a controlled scenario to satisfy Manjulika’s motive.

On Durgashtami, Avni fully becomes Manjulika, dancing in costume to their shared song. Yagyaprakash forces Manjulika to promise to depart if she kills the King, while the plan uses a dummy to fake the act. The staged murder appears to satisfy the spirit and triggers Avni’s cure.

With Manjulika’s source of purpose fulfilled, Avni is cured and the family thanks Aditya for saving them. Trust returns to the household as fear recedes. Aditya’s role is celebrated, and his presence alters the dynamics in the palace.

Aditya admits his growing feelings for Radha and suggests a possible match, hinting that his parents may be involved. Radha’s future appears brighter as the haunting is resolved. The ending signals a fresh start for the lovers and the family.
