What Happens at the End of Beef?

How Beef (2025) ends, in short: the final scene, the last twist and what it means for the characters. The full ending explained, with every spoiler, lives on its own page.

The final episode forces Danny (Steven Yeun) and Amy (Ali Wong) to abandon their relentless rivalry and crash off a cliff, leaving them stranded in a barren desert. With no one else to rely on, the two must barter food, water and even poisonous berries, and the absurdity of the situation forces them to finally talk to each other instead of shouting. Their shared struggle becomes the unexpected bridge that ends the feud.

While they limp toward a tunnel, two crows—previously glimpsed throughout the series—watch them. The birds comment on the pair’s history, knock the gun out of Amy’s hands, and echo the show’s theme that pain can be remembered and passed down, much like the generational trauma explored in the narrative.

George eventually tracks them via a fleeting phone signal, but before he can help, Amy’s ex‑husband sues in, believing Danny has harmed her. He fires, wounding Danny in the leg; the shot lands him in a hospital on a ventilator. The series makes clear that Danny survives—his arm twitches as he tries to wrap it around Amy, a small but hopeful gesture.

Amy climbs into the hospital bed, and their quiet exchange hints that the hatred that once fueled them may have turned into something gentler, perhaps even romantic. The show never states it outright, leaving the nature of their new relationship deliberately open.

Two symbolic details are resolved in the finale. Amy’s back tattoo, a solitary “22”, is revealed to reference Catch‑22—the impossible, circular traps both characters have been caught in. The crows, known for remembering human faces, underscore the idea that the characters’ pain is part of a larger, inherited pattern.

In the end, “Beef” ends not with explosive revenge but with a moment of catharsis: Danny and Amy finally hear each other, their anger is given a voice, and the audience is left to decide whether they walk away as former enemies, uneasy allies, or something more intimate.
