Banty Raids

An irritable elder rooster drives the bantam out of the barnyard for repeatedly blasting rock music. The banty protests but is banished and left to find a new perch, setting up a tense rivalry with the resident guardian of the coop. This incident establishes the conflict that drives the rest of the story.

After regaining his senses and shooting his guitar, the banty spots a neighboring barnyard full of hens and is instantly consumed by desire. He resolves to access that roost, lured by the prospect of courting the ladies. The urge to chase the hens becomes the banty’s principal motivation.

To reach the other barnyard, the banty disguises himself as a baby to fool Foghorn Leghorn. Fog falls for the ruse and adopts the banty as his son, unwittingly helping him slip past the guard into the hens’ domain. The disguise kicks off a string of comic misadventures.

Fog demonstrates a rubber-band contraption to the banty that can deliver a quick punch to Barnyard Dawg and then stash him in a garbage can. The duo revels in their petty trickery as Dawg becomes a recurring obstacle to Fog and the banty. The prank solidifies the trio’s uneasy dynamic.
