In Paris, Clara, a psychomotor therapist, and Ismaël, a music teacher, have been a couple for four years and are expecting their first child. They plan to move in together, but their families disapprove, as Clara is Jewish and Ismaël is Muslim. Though neither is devout, the cultural divide begins to strain their relationship.
