Jackie, a.k.a. “Asian Hawk,” Jackie Chan is a former musician who has turned to adventure and treasure hunting. After boldly stealing a sword from an African tribe, the weapon goes up for auction and is ultimately won by May Bannon, Lola Forner, the beautiful daughter of Count Bannon. This sets off a chain of alliances and loyalties that pull Jackie into a high-stakes quest.
Jackie is reunited with his old bandmate Alan, Alan Tam, who begs for his help because his girlfriend Lorelei has been kidnapped by a ruthless religious cult. The cult already holds two pieces of a legendary armour known as the Armour of God, and they want Jackie to deliver the three remaining pieces, including the sword, to complete the set. A deal is struck with Count Bannon, who is in possession of the three armour pieces: Jackie, Alan, and May will borrow the pieces for their rescue mission, on the condition that May accompanies them and that they finish the armour for the Count.
Together the trio travels to Yugoslavia to locate the cult’s monastery and launch a daring infiltration. They manage to secretly rescue Lorelei, only to discover that the cult leaders had anticipated their arrival and have already brainwashed her to do their bidding. Back at May’s rest home, Lorelei drugs Alan and compels him to steal the three armour pieces—an act that heightens the stakes and tightens the clock on their mission. Jackie, undeterred, slips back to the monastery and frees his friends from the cult’s grip.
As Alan and Lorelei attempt their escape, Jackie confronts the cult’s guards and presses deeper into the monastery, where the Armour of God is finally revealed in a hidden cave. But the danger escalates when the Grand Wizard, Ken Boyle, unleashes four formidable assassins—each a formidable foe in high-heeled combat who must be defeated. Jackie turns their shoes into a fatal weakness and defeats the quartet in a brutal, grueling showdown.
Outnumbered, Jackie is hemmed in by the Grand Wizard’s remaining followers. He reveals a chest filled with dynamite sticks beneath his jacket and taunts the villains, threatening a desperate self-destruct. After a tense bluff, the fuse is lit and the monastery trembles as explosions rip through the structure. The blast collapses the complex, burying the cult along with the Armour of God. Emergent from a cave, Jackie spots a hot-air balloon carrying Alan, Lorelei, and May, and, in a fearless finale, he executes a base jump onto the balloon’s top, bringing the adventure to a dramatic, triumphant close.
