Count Frank Kostka, his wife Vivien, and their daughter Marie reside in their family’s Kostka Castle, supported by housekeeper Mrs. Tichá, handyman Krása, and Castellan Josef. The castle’s once-popular “Curse of Comtesse Marie” attraction has lost its appeal, which doesn't concern Maria, as it allows her more time with Max, a nobleman from the nearby Castle Hvězda. However, Frank faces financial difficulties, struggling to pay salaries and maintain the castle. The arrival of Deniska, the lawyer’s daughter, disrupts the tranquil atmosphere of the ancestral home and introduces new complications.
