Mike, a stuntman, works with his girlfriend Jane. On their wedding day the producers force them to do a dangerous stunt for a film. Irritated, Mike looks away, crashes the car and they end up in the hospital. After they recover, Jane avoids him, so Mike gets her a job as a stunt double for a celebrated action star who is secretly a coward.
