On the morning of December 31st in a bustling Belgrade market, Spic and Djosa hawk baby pigs and Christmas trees. Their profits suffer as a European mad‑cow scare spreads, fueled by Lister—an ambitious newcomer with a shallow history—who warns shoppers against buying pork. Meanwhile, locals anticipate New Year’s Eve amid the echo of trumpets and beloved songs from the past century.
