Adire (2023) Plot Summary & Ending Explained

In the climax, the captain who has tracked Adire to the town finally corners her, intent on forcing her back into his drug‑smuggling operation. As he moves to stop her escape, a fire erupts in Adire’s house—the very blaze that kills the captain—leaving the path open for her to flee safely. Meanwhile, Tunde, who misinterpreted Sade’s desperate phone call as a divine mandate to silence Adire, breaks into the house with a weapon. The villagers, alerted by the chaos, apprehend him before he can do any real harm.
