Commissioned by Sony and performed live on the JumboTRON at the Expo in Tsukuba, Japan, Adelic Penguins is a collaboration between filmmaker Fitzgerald, visual artist Paul Garrin and composer‑performer Ryuichi Sakamoto. Structured in six segments, it is a technical tour‑de‑force that fuses pyrotechnic visuals with Sakamoto’s staccato, percussive score. The surreal imagery blends terrestrial and interplanetary realms, with Sakamoto dancing, floating and walking through a hyper‑kinetic universe.
