On a single day the intertwined lives of several couples shift dramatically. Anne and Ask’s relationship wears down, while Charlotte discovers her husband Carl may not be right for her. Bente must decide whether to wait forever for her lover, as ex‑husband Bjørn finally lets her go. Tensions soar to a climax during the opening night of Hamlet, where Anne plays Ophelia, forcing everyone to confront who will take responsibility for their own happiness.
