After test driver Hayami loses control of his car and rolls over, his employer discovers he has been hiding the fact that he is visually impaired and promptly fires him. With no way back to his old job, he devises a scheme to rob multiple jewelry stores. Within days he flees the city on a Kyoto bus, violin case in hand, carrying loot valued at 80 million yen, prompting a frantic police pursuit.
