Sniper

Former Marine Thomas Beckett is visited by CIA officer James Eckles and Colonel Dan McKenna at his home. They outline a mission to kill renegade Serbian General Mile Valstoria and explain why Beckett remains dangerous even without his index finger. Beckett agrees, but insists on having a spotter accompany him.

Beckett is introduced to Jake Cole, an experienced sniper on death row for killing a federal officer. Cole is promised a pardon if he takes part in the mission. The arrangement gives Beckett the firepower and timing support he needs on the operation.

Beckett and Cole are inserted into Serbia where they skirt through the city to a Catholic basilica. There, they meet Sophia, a resistance member who guides them to her apartment high above the action zone. She becomes their contact and helps plan their movements around Valstoria's movements.

Beckett carries out the morning assassination of General Valstoria, triggering a city lockdown. The operation draws immediate attention from Serbian forces and complicates their escape. The target's death sets off a chain of pursuit and a scramble for extraction.

With their original extraction point compromised, Beckett and Cole improvise by taking a public tram to slip away from pursuit. Soldiers converge, and the pair fight their way free, but Cole is captured while Beckett manages to escape into the chaotic streets. The tram shootout shifts the mission from silent extraction to a high-stakes chase.

That night, Beckett meets Sophia again and they draft a rescue plan for Cole. Sophia enlists her brothers, Zoran and Vojislav, to help run a daring operation. The team begins coordinating a jailbreak and transport efforts with a local resistance network.

The group ambushes a military convoy transporting Cole and a fellow prisoner, breaking them out of a prison truck. They transfer Cole and Pavel into a van coordinated by Zoran as Sophia's brothers cover the escape. Cole reveals that the assassination was staged to trap him, turning the rescue into a revelation about deception.

The escape route leads to an abandoned factory where the group is ambushed by a tank and infantry. During the attack, Zoran and Vojislav are killed, and Beckett orders Sophia to break away from the wounded group. The survivors press on toward the next extraction point while mourning their lost brothers.

Pavel urges heading to Komra, a Muslim town, where his friend Nauzad offers help to reach the border. The trio travels with Nauzad's assistance, hoping to avoid checkpoints and stay ahead of Serbian forces. They push toward the border while moving through increasingly dangerous terrain.

Crossing a river brings the group to Simand after a river checkpoint blocks their path. They struggle to stay ahead of pursuit, and the plan to reach safety becomes a longer, more dangerous trek. The pursuit tightens as a tracker is ordered to pursue them.

In the forest outside Simand, special forces ambush the trio. The tracker holes up in a town factory and snipes at Beckett and his companions. Beckett returns fire, taking out the tracker, and Cole and Pavel are severely wounded during the ensuing firefight.

Beckett carries the wounded Cole into a helicopter along with Pavel, just as reinforcements arrive led by Captain Marks. Cole, badly wounded, whispers 'Freedom!' before dying during the extraction. Beckett and Pavel escape into the air, bearing the loss of their comrade.
