He plays cupid for romance as Sam Bisbee, an inventor, sees his creations—like a key‑hole finder for the inebriated—bring only poverty. His daughter loves the town snob’s son, and just as a bullet‑proof tire promises success, it’s ruined. Another device blocks his suicide attempt, forcing Sam to keep living and ultimately finds hope.
