Mr. Morris runs a metropolitan department store that hires parolees to aid their reform. Helen Roberts and Joe Dennis are sales clerks; Joe proposes and they marry despite Helen’s parole forbidding it. Their modest, happy life collapses when Joe discovers Helen hid her past, leading him back to his old gang and a plot to rob the store.
