Set against the turmoil of World War II, six women from Allied nations studying at Shanghai University are seized by German forces after being falsely blamed for the murder of a German officer. Their captors subject them to brutal humiliation, forcing the prisoners to perform for Japanese troops and revealing the atrocities endured.
