After stealing a newborn calf to eat, the wolf regrets his plan and decides to raise the animal instead. He nurtures the calf—feeding milk, singing lullabies, reading books and keeping a spotless home, insisting children cannot grow in mud. Even the smoking wild boar is driven away. Over time they form a bond, living together as father and son.
