Warner Brothers revisits early sound cinema with Dwight Weist narrating excerpts from five talkies. The montage includes “Sinner’s Holiday,” debuting James Cagney with Joan Blondell; “20,000 Years in Sing Sing,” featuring a young Spencer Tracy and Bette Davis; “Five Star Final,” starring Edward G. Robinson and a Boris Kar‑loff cameo; “Night Nurse,” with Barbara Stanwyck and a brief Clark Gable appearance; and “Svengali,” starring John Barrymore and Marian Marsh. Each clip celebrates the stars’ early contributions to sound film.
