When a young queen offers a reward for a bouquet of snowdrops on New Year’s Day, a spiteful stepmother sends her disliked stepdaughter to fetch the impossible flowers from a bitter winter forest. Near death, the girl is saved by the personified Twelve Months, who summon spring and help her gather the blooms. She returns the bouquet to the queen, only to face others demanding a share of the prize.
