Ms. Cheung (Carol ‘Do Do’ Cheng), a developer seeking a quieter life, leaves Hong Kong for the countryside. Along the way she gets caught in a showdown between jewel thieves and police. The thieves’ injured getaway driver (Siu‑Chun To) slips into her moving van and ends up at her new home. There she befriends Pak‑Lam, an inquisitive village boy, who, unaware of the driver’s stolen jewels, shelters him in a secret hideout while both police and gang hunt for the loot.
