Zelihan and Necmettin are a young couple living in a remote village while serving an agha. Their cramped, dilapidated ‘one‑eye’ room is even shared with the agha’s ox, underscoring their poverty and isolation. Amid this bleak existence, the agha’s brother becomes obsessed with Zelihan and schemes to seduce her.
