This powerful documentary recounts the story of Darryl Hunt, a man who spent nearly two decades wrongly convicted of murder. Hunt maintained his innocence from the beginning, but was accused of killing a journalist in 1980s North Carolina. The case was marred by racial injustice and complicated by the involvement of a key witness with connections to the Ku Klux Klan, ultimately perpetuating a false narrative and leading to his unjust imprisonment. The film explores the devastating consequences of this error and his eventual release.
