Guillaume de Burlador, a private tutor, reaches a despair so deep he entertains a theatrical suicide. Before he can act, a flying boat whisks him to a chaotic French colonial outpost, where eccentric servants and bizarre décor abound. There, three cultured, striking women employ him to tutor a teenager, but their true intention is to seduce him.
