Ojo and Unc Nunkie, hungry, set out for Emerald City hoping to find food. En route they befriend Mewel, a stray mule, who guides them to Dr. Pipt, who has been stirring the powder of life for nine years. Ojo gives the powder to Margolotte’s patchwork creation, bringing Scraps to life. In her excitement Scraps spills petrifying liquid on Unc Nunkie, Margolotte and Danx, forcing each of them to embark on separate quests for the ingredients needed to reverse the spell.
