In 1800s Sardinia, a brutal feud between the Vasa and Mamia families tears through the Gallura region. Bastiano Tansu, a deaf-mute man mistreated throughout his life, is drawn into the conflict after the murder of his brother. He aligns himself with Pietro Vasa, using his remarkable skill as an assassin to fuel the escalating violence. As the State and Church attempt to restore order amidst the bloodshed, and with over 70 deaths, a fragile peace is eventually achieved. Bastiano finds solace in love, but in a world rife with superstition, his past and reputation make true innocence impossible.
