Anthropologist Max Scarry disappears while excavating a lost New Zealand tribe on a remote island. Police suspect a brother of murdering a prostitute whose body bore a tribal charm matching one in Max’s hut. Max’s daughter experiences unsettling visions of a supernatural threat. Edward travels to the island, confronting mysterious forces and a shocking fate that raises more questions than answers.
