Coach Joe Newton has spent five decades using cross‑country running to teach high school boys simple, lasting lessons—always do your best, be on time, and that it’s better to be kind than merely great. His York High School team in Elmhurst, Illinois became the most successful high‑school program in any American sport. The film follows the 2005 York Dukes as they chase a record 25th state title, showing how Newton’s guidance turns athletes into men who carry his values for life.
