Broadcast by NBC in November 1965, this television special marked Julie Andrews’ first solo American TV special. Following TV roles in High Tor and Cinderella and a co‑hosted special with Carol Burnett, she was a film star with Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music in cinemas and an Oscar on her mantle. Guests were Gene Kelly and New Christy Minstrels.
