The film presents a powerful indictment of what it calls the greatest threat to modern society. It follows a teenage boy and girl who lead their high‑school peers away from Christianity into clandestine atheist gatherings. After a stair‑well collapse kills a girl, the two are sent to a reform school, where they endure harsh, brutal treatment.
