The Gingerdead Man

In Cadillac Jack's Diner in Waco, Texas, killer Millard Findlemeyer murders most of the Leigh family. Sarah Leigh survives, along with her mother Betty, as the killer disappears into the night. The community is left reeling from the brutal assault.

Millard's ashes are collected by his mother and added into a gingerbread spice mix. The macabre ingredient foreshadows a dark twist tied to baked goods. The spice will later appear in The Bakery, carrying the killer's legacy.

Betty's alcoholism worsens, and The Bakery fights to stay afloat. Sarah tries to keep the shop running while supporting her mother. Tensions rise as financial pressures mount on the family business.

A mysterious delivery arrives at The Bakery: a batch of gingerbread spice mix courtesy of Millard's mother. Sarah is unaware of the dark origin behind the spice. The package sets the stage for a chilling creation to come.

Sarah and Brick Fields use the spice mix to bake a giant Gingerdead Man. During the process, Brick cuts himself and his blood mingles with the dough, hinting at the creature's unnatural life. The dough is shaped into a large, lifelike figure.

Lorna sneaks into The Bakery to sabotage it, planting a rat to trigger a health department shutdown. During a confrontation, she accidentally hits a switch that surges electricity into the oven, bringing the Gingerdead Man to life. The kitchen erupts as the murderous cookie awakens.

Amos Cadbury enters The Bakery, only to encounter the living Gingerdead Man. Sarah removes the creature from the oven, but it now acts with murderous intent. The battle to stop the threat shifts to containment and escape.

The group tries to lock the Gingerdead Man in the freezer, but the phone line is dead. Lorna uses Amos's cell phone to call her father before the battery dies, signaling the breakdown of normal communication. Isolation amplifies the danger inside the bakery.

Betty returns to search for her alcohol stash and ends up losing a finger, forcing herself into the oven. Julia arrives and is knocked out with a frying pan, left in the freezer. The household descends into a trapped, perilous scenario.

Amos retrieves a handgun from his car as chaos escalates. The Gingerdead Man steals Jimmy Dean's car and, using a rolling pin as a makeshift accelerator, kills him. The deadly chase spills outside The Bakery.

Amos and Sarah rescue Julia from the freezer. Sarah begins to suspect that the killer cookie is Millard reincarnated, linking past terror to the present nightmare. The two vow to end the threat once and for all.

Outside The Bakery, Lorna finds her father's corpse on the car hood and steals his ring before returning inside. A tripwire triggers a knife into her forehead, ending her role in the night’s horror. The danger outside mirrors the danger inside the bakery.

Sarah and Amos confess their feelings and hurry to rescue Betty from the oven. The Gingerdead Man traps Sarah inside and knocks Amos unconscious, but he recovers to help. Brick returns, is briefly possessed by the cookie, and is then pushed into the oven with the heat cranked up to destroy the creature.

The town holds a bake sale to raise money for the hospital, assisted by two nurses. A woman buys a gingerbread cookie along with pastries, intending to send them to her sister in Los Angeles, explicitly setting the stage for a sequel. The present danger is quelled, but the legend continues.
