Renee Saccard lives a life of luxurious indulgence as the young, self‑absorbed wife of a middle‑aged Parisian businessman. When she becomes passionately infatuated with her stepson, her husband schemes to pit them against each other, forcing the stepson to betray her. The manipulations push Renee toward obsessive desperation, turning her seemingly carefree existence into a frantic struggle as the deadly “game” finally ends.
