An insomniac fox living in a forest seeks duck down to cushion his pillow so he can finally sleep. He lures a clever yellow duck with a decoy and duck call, only to be blasted by hunters’ rifles. He builds a wooden scaffold from a tree branch to reach the airborne duck, but the duck drops a feather onto his head, causing the scaffold to collapse and the fox to fall fatally. As his spirit ascends, he continues to chase the duck even in the afterlife.
