In the Joker Systems—five star realms—numerous kingdoms are ruled by knights who pilot giant robots called Mortar Heads. The knights, called Headliners, bond with fatimas: human‑like women with enhanced abilities that let them control the robots. Fatimas cannot reproduce and serve under Emperor Amaterasu and his Mirage Knights.
