Based on the second Fu‑Manchu novel, the daring detectives Nayland Smith and Petrie probe a supposedly haunted house, only to encounter far greater danger. Captured by the villainous Dr Fu‑Manchu, Smith is tormented by a horde of ravenous Cantonese rats in a punishment called ‘The Six Gates of Joyful Wisdom.’ Petrie must rescue him, wielding the razor‑sharp ‘Friend’s Sword.’
