Among the earliest French animated feature films, it was actually produced in Czechoslovakia and directed by Eduard Hofman. Based on Jean Effel’s five‑book series, the film mirrors the caricaturist’s drawing style. It presents a comic take on the six‑day creation of the universe, with the devil humorously intervening in his own way.
