In 1950s Los Angeles, the Ferus Art Gallery became the epicenter of a dynamic creative movement, bringing together idealistic beatniks and fostering a competitive artistic community. As personal passions and commercial interests intertwined, the gallery thrived on innovative forms of art including assemblage, abstract expressionism, and the rising influence of Pop culture. The film explores how Los Angeles cultivated a unique art movement, and examines the complexities of its growth and lasting impact.
