A poetic evocation of the 18‑century Armenian poet and musician Sayat‑Nova, tracing his life from childhood to death. The film highlights his relationships with women, especially his muse, and interweaves his own verses with extensive still‑camera imagery, a style praised as revolutionary by Mikhail Vartanov.
