The 1960 trial of the publishers of D.H. Lawrence’s Lady Chatterley’s Lover under the Obscene Publications Act sparked a national sensation. The film follows jurors Helena and Keith, whose growing passion during the proceedings mirrors the novel’s themes of desire, class barriers and censorship.
