Best friends Lizzie and Janie share crushes, gossip and a secret love of liquor, slipping booze into water bottles at school. After a pre‑graduation party leaves them and friend Kate wasted, Lizzie drives Janie home in rain‑soaked darkness. A crash kills Janie; Lizzie survives with a concussion and faces a DWI trial, while the film follows her painful recovery and the lingering grief.
