Success has its costs even when you’re on the right side of history. A century after three priceless Māori tribal carvings were taken from New Zealand, two Māori men—Rewi and Peter—convene in Berlin, where the objects now sit in a museum. Peter assembles a break‑in team, but the operation unravels. Rewi persuades the group to let him pursue a bolder, more covert plan. As tensions mount, a sniper’s bullet strikes Peter, drawing worldwide media attention and raising the stakes for their quest to right an ancient grievance.
