A financially struggling hospital proclaims a breakthrough cure for a type of brain cancer, having already saved the lives of several affluent patients. When a young girl with the disease dies, a doctor observes that she and the cured men all received the identical drug. Her investigation reveals a sinister scheme by the hospital’s administration to identify wealthy individuals already afflicted with serious illnesses, deliberately give them the cancer and then “treat” it for profit.
