Donald Moffat stars in a televised adaptation of Molière’s classic comedy, playing the charming rogue Tartuffe who ingratiates himself with the wealthy Orgon. He schemes to seduce both Orgon’s wife and daughter, masking his libertine ways with false piety. When his hypocrisy is revealed, his influence collapses.
