At a flamboyant Paris party, guests hear the tale of a mysterious tom‑tom played by an Andalusian gypsy who appears as a character in a young novelist’s book. The gathering sparks a frantic search for an elusive “love‑filter.” The film explores desire and repression by subverting social archetypes—ambassadors, celebrities, artists—and sexual identities—homosexuals, transvestites, transsexuals—offering a precise portrait of an identity crisis.
