Set in occupied France during World War II, pharmacist Eliane embarks on a passionate affair with her young shop assistant Armand. As their relationship intensifies, the encounters become increasingly erotic, and Armand gradually dominates her, demanding humiliating acts that threaten her dignity and put her family's safety in jeopardy.
