A notorious outlaw is swayed by a haunting pair of hazel eyes, prompting a moral turn. Cattleman Flint blocks farmer Sims’ water supply; when Sims’ son Ted fetches water, Flint’s henchman murders him. Cheyenne is dispatched to eliminate Sims, but upon finding the family gathered at a freshly dug grave, he switches allegiance, haunted by the boy’s death, and decides to protect the downtrodden.
