The film’s first segment follows a lively cockroach named Don as he scuttles through a mansion, slips beneath floorboards and lurks in a dark cupboard before meeting an untimely end under a foot. The second tells of an ordinary man called Albert Einstein—“the only Albert Einstein who never discovered relativity”—whose hands act on their own, venturing out at night, misbehaving and even committing bizarre acts involving feet. The final vignette abandons narrative, focusing instead on the animated inhabitants of oversized Christmas‑card pictures as they interact in strange, surreal ways.
