Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot

Tutti buys the illegal MAC-10 because she accidentally ruined Joe's sidearm with bleach while cleaning his apartment. When she visits a gun store to purchase a replacement, she learns there is a mandatory cooling-off period. Impatient to help her son, she secretly buys the machine pistol from Mitchell and his brother, not realizing the weapon was part of a stolen shipment.

Tutti withholds the witness information from Ross because she wants her son Joe to solve the case himself and prove himself to his superiors. She also hopes that helping Joe succeed will repair his strained relationship with Lieutenant Gwen Harper, who had just broken up with him.

The MAC-10 is traced to a shipment of weapons that were supposedly lost in a warehouse fire. The fire earned Parnell a $12 million insurance payout, revealing he staged the fire to collect insurance money while secretly keeping the weapons for an illegal sale to South America.

Parnell kills Paulie and throws him out a window because Paulie was becoming a liability. With Joe and Tutti closing in on the investigation, Parnell eliminates his own henchman to prevent him from turning informant or revealing the full scheme to authorities.

Gwen kisses Joe because she believes he sent her a roomful of roses as a romantic gesture. However, she immediately slaps him when she discovers Tutti was actually responsible for sending the flowers, not Joe. This incident triggers Joe's anger at his mother for constantly meddling in his life.

Tutti shoots Munroe in self-defense during the warehouse ambush. Parnell's henchmen attack Joe and Tutti with a wrecking ball, and Munroe opens fire on them. Tutti returns fire and shoots Munroe, allowing Joe to arrest him while the other henchmen flee.

Tutti escapes captivity by slipping free from the handcuffs, though the exact method is not shown on screen. She then knocks Mitchell out again with a frying pan, takes his gun and van, and heads to the airstrip to help Joe, ultimately being captured by Parnell's men as a hostage.

Tutti shoots Parnell in the shoulder to save Joe's life. After Joe is captured and Parnell prepares to kill him, Tutti frees herself and fires the shot just as police arrive, preventing Parnell from murdering her son and stopping the illegal weapons sale to South America.

Joe and Gwen reconcile and become newly engaged by the end of the movie. Their reconciliation comes after Tutti gives Joe advice about being more open with his emotions, and Joe apologizes to Gwen. They see Tutti off at the airport as an engaged couple.

Joe chases the man because Tutti spots him from America's Most Wanted and realizes he matches the profile of a fugitive. Tutti remembers the fugitive was on the run for shooting his own mother, making her observation skills crucial in catching yet another criminal before departing.

Earlier in the film, Tutti demonstrates her keen observational abilities by describing Mitchell and his van in detail to help Joe's investigation.

Tutti cleans Joe's apartment because she disapproves of his bachelor lifestyle and wants to take care of him as she always has. Her well-meaning but overbearing nature leads her to tidy his living space, though she accidentally ruins his sidearm with bleach in the process.

Joe gives Ross a swirly because Ross disrespects Tutti after she finally agrees to share her witness information. Despite Tutti being the key witness who could help solve the case, Ross speaks dismissively about her, prompting Joe to defend his mother's honor.
